Lucas continues to drag Liam until the door gets kicked shut behind them. It unfortunately looks like they've walked into one of the rooms at his local shelter, but there's a creaking spring bed, so it suits the purpose. If they even make it to the bed. He just drops Liam on the ground once they've reached the middle of the room and starts pacing in front of him, trying to work up some of his old anger. In a moment, maybe he'll remember Liam is there.

Liam squeezes his eyes shut with the effort of not moving, biting through the skin on his bottom lip to stop himself from making any sounds. He's not sure if Lucas will allow that.

"Better. Much better." As a reward, he lifts his boot away and simply watches for a moment.

"You may brush it away when it becomes too much." As he waits, Lucas pulls his tattered shirt up and over his head. He's skeletal from starvation and too much junk in his system and his veins look heavily diseased on the insides of those stick arms.

Liam holds out as long as he can, clenching his fists as he attempts to let the match burn itself out.

He blinks his eye open, momentarily distracted by Lucas's body.

He nods, brows up, to acknowledge that he is a bit impressed at Liam's fortitude. Then Lucas drops down to his knees, one at a time, straddling Liam's hips and sitting back to keep Liam's legs still. This also means that he can grind down and back if he chooses to.

Liam smiles a little at the contact, staying still and silent on the floor. One hand moves to his stomach to finger the new burn bubbling there.

"Do not touch."

Lucas reaches one hand up quickly to catch Liam by the throat and grip as firmly as his tired limbs make possible.

Liam inhales sharply, dropping his hands back to his sides.

"I'm sorry," he whispers.

"You are about to be."

His grip stays firm as he arches his head down and laps his tongue along that burn mark. After a moment, he leans down further and bares his teeth, digging them in and biting down into the raw mark.

Liam shivers when he feels tongue, but cries out sharply at teeth.

"Ow, Lucas, don't--" he protests in vain. Tears of pain sting the corners of his eyes, but he still wants more. He thrashes, just to feel the bite harder.

As he grinds his teeth together and tightens his grip on Liam's neck, he pushes backwards with his hips and watches the reactions he causes.

Liam is having trouble breathing, the pain and the pressure on his neck are causing stars to dance around his tear-blurred vision.

He manages a strangled sob, pushing his hips up into the bite.

Which is when he releases both and leans back again, rocking into him.

"Mm?"

Translation: Why did you stop? But the friction caused is more than enough to satisfy him.

"I do not generally give the whores I wound the satisfaction of climax," he murmurs in warning, but he sounds strangely uncertain. How did his rules stand up to this new mindset, he wasn't sure. Lucas reaches down and runs each of his hands across Liam's stomach before his sharp thumbnails stabbed down, tugging up underneath Liam's ribs.

Liam pouts a little, about to protest that rule, but anything he may have wanted to say is cut off by a sharp inhale. He moans softly, his heels dig into the bare floor as he attempts to push himself up, relieve some of the pressure below his ribs.

There are warning signs firing in Lucas' brain, memories of Alexi and what happens when you bend the rules, even once. He's already bending them, though, by taking money from someone he expects to see again after tonight. But he needs his morphine and he needs... something about this.

He leaned down to lave his tongue up Liam's neck before biting down with savage teeth.

Liam gasps, a strangled sound, his hands moving of their own accord. It's some kind of reflex that makes him grab Lucas's shoulders in an attempt to push it away, a subconscious desire to be punished more.

It's all years of reflex that makes him growl, sit up with a start, and slap Liam with a backhand across his cheek.

His head jerks to the side and a tiny cry escapes his throat. His face is burning, he doesn't move his head from the floor, just keeps it in that submissive position. He only murmurs, "Thank you."

Immediately after his hand hits, Lucas regrets it. He hates that he feels that weakness, but he does, and it makes him lean down with a wince and press his forehead to the side of Liam's even as his hand draws up, his thumb caressing the deep indentations of his bite. He breathes there for a moment to try to gather back together his strength and then begins to choke him again, rocking back with a slow rhythm.

Something in Lucas's face makes Liam pause, concerned. Tentatively, he reaches a hand up to lightly touch his cheek.

"Are you okay?"

He winces harder, his eyes screwed shut, and tightens his grip on Liam's throat. "Shh," he hisses.

"But--" Sudden constriction of his throat cuts off any protest, so he simply nods and tries not to look worried.

If he wasn't already too pathetic for words, Lucas can feel tears building up underneath his eyelids even as his grip on Liam's throat tightens until his muscles shake with tension.

"Lucas, please," Liam begs softly, reaching up to touch his face again because damn the consequences. "What's wrong?"
